I don’t know about you guys, but I LOVE Lilo and Stitch. It’s such a fun, sweet series of movies. So today we are featuring a “throwback” wedding from 2012 that had some really cute Lilo and Stitch details! A big thank you to Uncorked Studios for sharing this with us!

Sally and Adam’s wedding was relaxed elegance. They had no desire to be too formal, but did not want to be too informal either. Their seaside location was able to accommodate this through a gorgeous setting, paired with a tented reception.

Their wedding was inspired by the Disney movie, Lilo and Stitch. They both love this movie, and wanted to have something that was such a large part of their life be a part of the wedding. As a result, they chose blue, for Stitch, and then pink for Angel (Stitches love interest). This carried through from dresses to suits, from table settings and table numbers, to flowers. It was important to have elements that were casual, paired with those what were more elegant.

There was an emotional moment for the bride when her bouquet was delivered. Unknown to her, her mother had a picture of her father tied to the stem. He had passed away 11 years earlier, and they had chosen their wedding day to coincide with what would have been his 65th birthday. It meant a lot to Sally that her mother did that.

The couple created a lot of their own items. Sally says she is by no means crafty, but created and assembled the save the dates, invitations, thank you cards, programs, place settings, table numbers, favor boxes and card box. It was worth the time and effort to have things suit their tastes and needs. It provided a great sense of accomplishment and pride, as well!
