A song dedicated to the enhancement of Talent and Merit in general but above all in the artistic environment

"FRANCESCO FIUMARELLA AND MARIA ROSSI GIVE VOIVE TO ARTISTIC MERITOCRACY WITH AN ITALIAN SONG"”

There was not. But maybe it's useful. At least the co-authors of this beautiful novelty hope so. A song dedicated to the enhancement of Talent and Merit in general but above all in the artistic environment; mainly to that majority of artists and those involved in this area who are struggling to emerge and be known by the general public. The day this pseudo "Hymn" comes out is particularly evocative because collective memory cannot but make us think again of a great man who is the symbol of a Meritocracy whose high value is and will be an example for millions of generations: Paolo Borsellino (together with Falcone and Dalla Chiesa for some time in the hearts of many).Because a song about Meritocracy, in this case artistic... "The enormous difficulties that are often reported from everywhere both in Italy and abroad were the main starting point for this independent musical project to come about from a casual collaboration - declares Fiumarella" . In 2022 the idea; Francesco Fiumarella, Author, Artistic and General Director of the Vincenzo Crocitti International Award, who for years has been fighting for meritocratic artistic enhancement with various initiatives, was inspired and wrote the first draft of the song after seeing a video on Facebook by chance Aurora Ramazzotti, where through one of her amateur songs, she replied to her heaters who criticized her for her surname thanks to which they said she had become known (so if she was considered an artist according to these heaters it was only thanks to her mother Michelle Hunziker and her father Eros Ramazzotti); From that day on Fiumarella, who naturally doesn't approve of the heaters' thoughts and ways, however makes a reflection on how much Aurora "hums" and on what she sustains in the first verses of her piece; Francesco jots down his answer with the aim of pointing out good-naturedly to Aurora but in general, that there are many talented artists who would need occasions and opportunities to be listened to and taken into consideration even without having an important and famous surname, as in our country there are often great talents, above all hidden, who with great difficulty try to break through the walls of indifference and unfortunately not everyone manages to get the right opportunity. Many remain in oblivion for years, perhaps forever, despite studying, making apprenticeships, auditions, castings, to always see the door slammed in their faces with the usual phrase "we'll let you know". And many, when they see that generations of children of well-known personalities (sometimes not very talented) manage to be chosen and get where they don't get, well, perhaps rightly so, they are very disappointed. Inspiration also leads to a broader reflection because what the artistic environment is experiencing, especially post-pandemic, is not easy for thousands of artists in Italy but also beyond. Think of the recent battles of the voice actors against the use of artificial intelligence that takes away their work. “If things go on like this in a few decades, not even the sons of families will have job opportunities anymore” explains Francesco. So here the project takes shape and from that moment Fiumarella thinks of submitting his text and the idea to a singer with television experience and above all who represents well the meaning of the proposed song. He thinks of a very good actress and stand-up comedian with a particular voice, scratchy like that of Nannini who also knows how to write lyrics. It is Maria Rossi, known above all in the 90s (Zelig, Maurizio Costanzo Show) who has been through a lot in her life. After the success boom of those years due to personal vicissitudes (told in the 2018 film "Stato d'Ebrezza") he goes through a horrible period and is no longer able to work. Despite having tried his best to get back on top, painfully and with extreme hard work, it seems that the world of entertainment no longer needs her. Long years of “indifference and alienation". But why? Why is it that in this world one is so easily discarded when one becomes more fragile? In 2020 Maria Rossi is the recipient of the VinceAward and from there the recovery. <> From an interchange between the two, with spontaneity and without thinking much about it, they managed to create this very catchy song, almost a "Hymn to Meritocracy" to spur, by singing, the rebirth of the same. The final text appreciated by Fiumarella and thanks to the voice of Maria Rossi and Riccardo Rossi (the latter also composer of the music) gave birth to a very significant song, danceable, a little out of line, if you want also a "denunciation" of an important theme and for this reason immediately appreciated by many, especially for the purpose it intends to highlight.Currently "The Ballad of Meritocracy - But Where?" is available on the main online music distribution platforms (Spotify, Apple Music, iTunes, Instagram/Facebook, TikTok/Resso/Luna, YouTube Music, Amazon, Pandora, Deezer, Tidal, iHeartRadio, Claro Música, Saavn, Boomplay, Anghami, KKBox , NetEase, Tencent, Qobuz, Joox, Kuack Media, Yandex Music (beta), Adaptr, Flo, MediaNet) Soon, it is hoped, we will be able to extend listening also to both web and FM radios and on TV... For Fiumarella it is another big step in terms of his artistic battles, another way to give voice to those who have none with the hope that many situations can change, improving.
