A luxury vintage boutique in Somerset is offering one lucky schoolgirl the chance to have her own personal prom prom dresses london design created for free.

Alexandra King Boutique in Wells, that creates "dresses that make you feel like a star" is running the exciting prom dress design competition.

To enter, all you have to do is simply design your own perfect dress, and send it to Alexandra herself for the chance to have your creation made into a reality.

Alexandra King, a local fashion designer who found her love for dress design at King of Wessex school in Cheddar, said: "Many students in the area will go on to study design and we thought this would be a good opportunity to test their skills and get useful feedback from the professionals.

"The competition will be judged by myself, head seamstress Anna Vickery, fashion stylist Lois Williams and graphic designer Chris King of Wingsart.

"The winner will not only have their design made at our studio but will be able to see it being made too."

The winner will get to discuss their design, and choose the fabrics, and once it's ready, the completed dress will be photographed in a styled shoot.

The competition is open to children in years 11, 12 and 13, from schools across the whole of Somerset, and you can design a dress for yourself or a friend.

The design can be sketched, collaged, digital, sculpted, described in writing, or even a short film, "any way you can communicate your design idea will be accepted".

Designs will be judged after the competition closes on March 1 and the winner will be announced on Friday 10th March.
