Marlie Burke of Aiken and Coty Courtney of Aiken were married Oct. 1, 2016, at Pine Island Club on Lake Murray. The bride was given in marriage by her father Noel Burke and her mother Teri Ayers. The Rev. Howard Burke, grandfather of the bride, officiated.

The bride is a daughter of Noel Burke of Dunn, NC, and Scott and Teri Ayers of Aiken. She is a granddaughter of Steve and Jane Ergle of Aiken and Howard and Linda Burke of Lumberton, NC.

The bridegroom is a son of Jeff and Pam Courtney of Aiken. He is a grandson of Marion and Edna Eubanks of Aiken and Eloise Courtney and the late Paul Courtney of Montmorenci.

Kailey Beason of Aiken, cousin of the bride, was the maid of honor. Aniella Ridley of Ridge Spring was the matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Jaclynn Courtney of Mt. Pleasant, cousin of the groom; Linda Flores of Aiken, Kayleigh Bennett of Aiken, Carrie Kinlaw of Lumberton, NC, aunt of the bride; Lindsey Gay of Charlotte, NC, and Loren Kinlaw, cousin of the bride.

Orry Courtney of Columbia, twin brother of the groom, was the best man. Groomsmen were Adam Courtney of Aiken, brother of the groom; Alex Cheatham of Edgefield, SC, Brandon Thigpen of Aiken, Nick Masserone of Lexington, KY, Corey Beard of Warrenville, SC, Jason Courtney of Mt. Pleasant, SC, cousin of the groom; and Anthony Trevino of Keller, TX.

Ryder and Ryley Courtney of Aiken, nephews of the groom, were the ring bearers.

Following a reception at Pine Island Clubhouse, the couple left for a wedding trip to Hilton Head, SC.

They will reside in Aiken.

The bride is a 2011 graduate of South Aiken High School. She is employed by SCANA Energy.

The bridegroom is a 2010 graduate of Wardlaw Academy and a graduate of The Citadel with a degree in criminal justice. He is employed by Michelin in Lexington, SC.
