When you are invited to an evening party, the choice of the evening dress in long length, ankle one or the floor length with or without sweep train will always be the first one comes into you mind. You might take the style into the consideration, but never the length.

Long length dresses are commonly seen at the evening parties while short or mini ones are for the homecoming or prom. It seems to be the tradition. Sexy backless, front splits or mermaid styles will make it hard for fashion ladies to make up their mind. So the evening parties are full of beautiful ladies in different looks but all in long length.

However, should it always be the long length for the evening party?

There is no doubt that long evening dresses give the wearer a touch of elegance, show a truly chic fashion sense or stand out the feminine sexiness.

Normally one will choose a black dress for the night party. Here is one I found online which is pretty popular among ladies. It has the classic sexy silhouette –mermaid, embracing the body tight. Beautiful floral appliques are added to the body part. And at the back, the dress is made lace-up.

But short one can also be made perfect for the evening party such as the LBD and the bodycon dress.
