Pass the Christmas festivities and start a new year. We start again with work, commitments but also with a whole series of unmissable events. Among these, for art lovers, there will certainly be exhibitions in Italy. It will indeed be a year full of exhibition events, from North to South. Artists of various kinds will animate the art galleries with their works, offering tourists and the Italian public moments of unmissable culture.
Until 18 February, the Royal Palace of Milan celebrates Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec (1864-1901) with one of the largest exhibitions in Italy, monographic Gillne, which highlights the entire artistic path and the extraordinary traits of modernity of the subject. The exhibition, curated by Danièle Devynck (director of the Toulouse-Lautrec Museum in Albi) and Claudia Zevi, is divided into thematic sections. It leads the visitor to understand the charm and the artistic importance of the bohemian painter who, without ever adhering to a school, was able to construct a new and provocative realism, an extreme synthesis of form, color and movement.

FRIDA. Beyond the myth.

It will be a show of "breaking" compared to all the exhibitions in Italy so far proposed in recent years, thanks to the Archive of Casa Azul, discovered in 2007. The retrospective presented at MUDEC outlines an unprecedented plot around Frida Kahlo, reconsidering the figure "Beyond the myth", as the title of the exhibition recounts.
