The latest news item uploaded to the EA website caught my eye.

Many think, sadly, that T&F athletics appears to be trending towards a minority sport, but I didn’t realise how its participation numbers compares closely with Fell Running. Or to put it another way I didn’t realise regular Fell Running was so popular. According to EA, they say the latest Active Lives survey that the numbers of ‘active ADULTS doing ‘track and field athletics’ is 249,700 people ,and for fell running it is 206,600. (Active Lives Survey is for period mid-November 2015 to mid-November 2016).
