PUPILS at a Bradford school have got in touch with their wild side to help protect some of the world's most endangered species.

Bradford Grammar School took part in the WWF Wear it Wild day, which aims to inspire thousands of people, both young and old, to don their best animal themed fancy celebrity inspired dresses outfit and show their support for wildlife.

The national fundraising event challenged pupils, teachers and even parents on the school run to dress up.

Pupils at the school prom dresses london as animals from zebras to cobras to great white sharks.

Head teacher Simon Hinchliffe said: "Our students are really excited to be involved with such an inspiring event like Wear it Wild. Everyone can make a difference in protecting our incredible wildlife and young people have a key role to play. Of course there’s a serious message here, but our pupils will also have lots of fun as they help raise awareness and vital funds for WWF’s crucial work."

WWF-UK spokesman Karen Gates said: "It’s great to see so many schools already signed up to Wear It Wild and we hope that Bradford Grammar School’s participation will inspire others to follow suit and support the campaign."
